Taking place in picturesque San Jose, California, this event offers a distance for every runner, including a Half Marathon (13.1M), 10K, 5K, and even a fun 1M Beer Stroll or the challenging Beat the Beast Beer Mile. Typical race day conditions in late May boast pleasant highs around 76°F and lows around 54°F, with a minimal 1% chance of precipitation, providing ideal weather for hitting the trails.

The courses, starting and finishing at Almaden Lake Park, are designed by runners for runners, promising a slightly out-of-the-ordinary experience. You'll navigate generally flat terrain with a mix of paved bike paths, gravel, and some dirt trails as you run along the scenic Lake Almaden, Guadalupe River, Los Alamitos Creek, and Calero Creek trails. The Half Marathon features a net elevation gain of just 224 feet, making it a very runnable course. Aid stations are strategically placed approximately every 1.5 to 2.5 miles, offering water, Skratch sports drink, and for half marathoners, GU gels and blocks, supported by cheerful and encouraging volunteers.
