This celebrated event in Ithaca, NY, offers a grueling yet incredibly scenic experience with distances of 50M and 50K. Runners will traverse a course widely acclaimed as one of the most beautiful in the country, winding through gorges, past dozens of spectacular waterfalls like Lucifer Falls, and over signature historic stone stairs, all within the lush embrace of mixed eastern forests. The Cayuga Trails course, headquartered at the Old Y Camp in Robert H. Runners can expect well-stocked aid stations approximately every 4 to 5 miles, offering water, an E-drink such as Tailwind, Coke, and a variety of foods including PB&J, bacon, potatoes, and fruit, with gluten-free options often available. This race, a past host of the USATF 50-Mile Trail Championship, is renowned for its strong community atmosphere and exceptional volunteers, making every mile feel like a trail party.

Beyond the physical challenge, Cayuga Trails is celebrated for its unique charm, embodying the local adage, "Ithaca is Gorges." Participants will not only push their limits but also immerse themselves in breathtaking natural beauty. Typical race day conditions in early May see comfortable highs around 64°F and lows around 41°F, with a mere 13% chance of precipitation, providing ideal weather for tackling the extensive singletrack and dramatic scenery.
