The technical course features a diverse mix of terrain, including stairs, bridges, roots, and rocks, interspersed with plenty of easygoing flat sections, all while offering approximately 400 feet of elevation gain and loss. With typical race day conditions in late March seeing highs around 65°F and lows around 45°F, and a 20% chance of precipitation, runners should be prepared for potentially cool, wet, and muddy conditions. Aid stations, equipped with bathrooms and GU energy gels/chews, are conveniently located after Bon Tempe Dam at the 3.5-mile mark and at the start/finish area.
