The unique looped format of the Medal Madness course keeps the energy high; the 5K completes two loops, the 10K four loops, and half marathoners tackle six loops of the designated route. Runners will appreciate the frequent access to the main aid station situated at the start/finish area, typically offering water, Gatorade, sodas, and an assortment of sweet and salty snacks, including pickles and pickle juice. Participants are encouraged to bring their own hydration devices as this is a cupless event. Beyond the satisfaction of achieving a new personal best, every finisher will proudly receive a distinctive themed medal, and those with a flair for creativity can vie for the "Best Costume" award.
The race begins promptly at 8:30 AM, with packet pickup available starting 30 minutes prior to the race. All registrations must be completed online via RunSignup, as on-site registration will not be offered. For convenience, overflow parking is located nearby at the Deltona Sunshine Senior Center.
