This unique trail race offers a 6-hour format, challenging participants to complete as many ~5-mile loops as they desire on 100% un-paved, exclusive single-track trails. Runners will be treated to stunning scenery, including captivating beach views of the Chesapeake Bay and the iconic Calvert Cliffs. Beyond the scenic course, the Miocene Epic Endurance Challenge is renowned for its exceptional runner support and vibrant atmosphere. The start and finish of each loop are conveniently located at the picnic pavilion within Calvert Cliffs State Park, allowing ample space for runners to set up personal tents, chairs, and coolers for their own aid and recovery. A fully stocked aid station at the end of every loop ensures participants are well-fueled, offering a diverse array of sweets, salty snacks, drinks, and fresh breakfast foods like pancakes, fried potatoes, bacon, and fruit.
