The Spreckels Lake Lightning Mile promises a rapid downhill sprint, with runners making their way uphill to the starting line at Transverse and JFK, then flying down to the finish. Immediately following the mile, the 5K race commences, offering a scenic loop through Golden Gate Park, starting and finishing at JFK and 36th Avenue. Race day check-in opens at 8:00 AM at JFK and 36th Avenue, with the mile race kicking off at 9:00 AM and the 5K at approximately 9:30 AM.
