This event, featuring a 10-mile and a 5K distance, offers runners an unforgettable experience on one of Southern Oregon's premier trail systems. Hosted by the non-profit Southern Oregon Runners, proceeds from the race are dedicated to supporting a local charity, making your effort even more impactful.

The 10-mile course lives up to its "Tough as Nails" moniker, guiding runners through a demanding mix of service roads and some of Roxy Ann Peak's newest trails, accumulating approximately 1800 feet of elevation gain. The 5K, while less strenuous, provides a scenic loop counter-clockwise around the service road. Both races start and finish at the upper gravel parking lot at the base of Roxy Ann Peak within Prescott Park, which boasts over 15 miles of trails. As you climb, you'll traverse diverse landscapes, from oak savannahs to madrone woodlands and coniferous forests, with the last half-mile to the peak often being the most challenging.

Runners are rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the Rogue Valley, including distant glimpses of Mount McLoughlin, Upper and Lower Table Rocks, and on clear days, even Mount Thielsen and California's Mount Shasta.
