Lace up your trail shoes for the Trails To the Sky 50k/10k, returning to the scenic Voorhees State Park in Glen Gardner, NJ, on May 16, 2026. This popular event offers runners a chance to explore beautiful and runnable trails, making it a highlight on the New Jersey trail running calendar. Typical race day conditions in mid-May bring comfortable highs around 73°F and lows near 50°F, with a modest 19% chance of precipitation, creating ideal weather for tackling the course.

Both the 50K and 10K races promise an engaging experience. The 10K features approximately 900 feet of elevation gain, while the challenging 50K, recognized as a UTMB Index Race, accumulates roughly 4500 feet of gain over five laps. Runners will traverse a well-marked course, guided by yellow arrow signs and orange flags, and enjoy a unique highlight: passing directly by the park's observatory, home to one of New Jersey's largest private telescopes.

Runners in both distances will find comprehensive support along the way. Aid stations are strategically placed at mile 3 and at the start/finish area after each loop, stocked with Skratch Electrolytes, Skratch Chews, water, soda, fruit, and various snacks to keep you fueled. For 50K participants, the looped course allows for easy access to personal belongings and the option to set up an EZ-up tent near the finish line for a personalized aid setup. All finishers will be celebrated with a custom medal, and the top three male and female runners will receive custom awards.
