12th Annual KC 5K Run/Walk for Food Pantries

Lace up for a meaningful stride at the 12th Annual KC 5K Run/Walk for Food Pantries, set to take place on Saturday, August 15, 2026, in the charming community of Cass City, Michigan. This cherished annual event, organized by the Central Thumb Knights of Columbus #8892, offers participants a timed 5K course that beautifully blends town and country scenery. Runners and walkers will experience a varied route featuring pavement, gravel, and scenic footpaths, including a picturesque section along a rail trail that crosses the Cass River. For those seeking a gentler pace, a one-mile exercise walk is also available, keeping participants within the town's paved areas.

The race kicks off from the St. Pancratius Church Parking Lot at 4292 Seeger St in Cass City, where same-day registration and packet pickup will be available from 7:45 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. inside the church social hall or nearby in the parking lot, depending on the weather. Typical race day conditions in mid-August see comfortable highs around 79°F and lows near 57°F, with a relatively low 13% chance of precipitation, providing pleasant weather for a morning run or walk. Participants will vie for special awards, with overall fastest male and female runners/walkers receiving recognition, and medals presented to the top three finishers in each age group.
