2025 Autumn Chase Fun Run

The 2025 Autumn Chase Fun Run, a cherished Huntsville tradition since 1981, invites runners of all ages, especially youth from Preschool through 8th grade, to John Hunt Park on Thursday, September 17, 2026. This free 1-mile fun run, presented by The Huntsville Delta Zeta Alumnae Chapter in partnership with the Huntsville Track Club, offers an engaging and spirited atmosphere for the entire family. Participants will enjoy a refreshing run through the scenic park as they contribute to a meaningful cause, promoting healthy habits while supporting the Huntsville Hospital Pediatric Audiology Unit and other local children's charities.

This unique "Kids Run for Kids" event features staggered start times throughout the evening, ensuring a personalized experience for each age group, including a dedicated heat for school faculty. As runners cross the finish line, they'll be celebrated with a t-shirt and ribbon, with the top ten finishers in each race earning recognition, and the top three receiving medals. Typical race day conditions in mid-September in Huntsville offer pleasant weather, with highs around 87°F and lows around 64°F, and only a 10% chance of precipitation, creating an ideal environment for an evening run.
