2026 Anchorage Mayor's Marathon & Half Marathon

The marathon and half marathon courses begin at Kincaid Park, ushering runners through a diverse and incredibly scenic journey. The initial miles descend through a cottonwood forest to the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail, offering breathtaking vistas of the Alaska Range and the possibility of spotting beluga whales in Cook Inlet. As the course winds eastward toward the majestic Chugach Mountains, it transitions to forested trails, passing Westchester Lagoon where trumpeter swans and other birds can be observed.
