2026 Bastille Day Race - 5K Run/Walk, 10K & 15K

Lace up for the 2026 Bastille Day Race, returning to the charming streets of Fenton, Michigan, on Saturday, July 11th. This celebrated summer event, hosted by Great Lakes Race Management, offers distances for every runner, including a challenging 15K, a brand-new 10K (two laps of the 5K course), and a scenic 5K run/walk. Typical race day conditions in July offer warm highs around 83F and comfortable lows near 60F, with a slight 12% chance of precipitation, making for a classic Michigan summer run.

Known as one of Fenton and Genesee County's most iconic summer races, the Bastille Day Race delivers both competitive spirit and a festive atmosphere. The courses are USATF-certified and run on 100% paved roads, winding through downtown Fenton's scenic routes. For those seeking a true test, the 15K is renowned as "the most challenging 15K in Michigan," featuring significant elevation changes, including the notable Denton Hill Challenge. While the 5K and 10K offer fun, picturesque experiences, the 15K operates as an open course, requiring runners to be aware of traffic and utilize road shoulders, with headphones discouraged for safety.

Participants will find well-supported courses with water stations along the 15K route, managed by dedicated volunteers. Beyond the race itself, runners are treated to a unique French-themed post-race celebration, complete with fresh French bread, fruit, bottled water, and keg root beer, all accompanied by live music. All finishers receive a custom medal, eligible registrations include a custom Dri-Fit race shirt, and professional race photos are complimentary.
