2026 Good Samaritan Run 5K, 10K & Mission Mile

Lace up your shoes for the 2026 Good Samaritan Run 5K, 10K & Mission Mile, an inspiring event taking place on Saturday, April 25, 2026, in Dewitt, NY, near Syracuse, with virtual options available from April 1-30. This deeply community-focused race, held for over 13 years, serves as the sole fundraiser for Christian Health Service of Syracuse, dedicated to providing affordable healthcare to those in need. Participate in the 5K, 10K, or the non-timed Mission Mile Walk, with a lively Kid Sprint (400M) available for younger runners.

The out-and-back course begins at the Excellus annex parking lot, guiding runners uphill on Butternut Road before crossing the 481 overpass via a pedestrian bridge. A quick turn leads into the scenic canal park, where you'll continue along mostly paved surfaces, enjoying the refreshing spring air. Aid stations are strategically placed at the halfway points for both the 5K and 10K, as well as at the finish line, with porta-johns available for convenience. Expect typical race day conditions with highs around 49F and lows around 31F, and a 15% chance of precipitation, making for a crisp and invigorating spring run.

All 5K and 10K finishers will be awarded a commemorative medal, with age group awards also presented.
