2026 Jared Anez Eagle Lake Race Series

Lace up for the 9th annual Jared Anez Eagle Lake Race Series, a cherished community event blending competitive spirit with a heartfelt cause, taking place on Saturday, August 1, 2026, in scenic Willmar, MN. Offering both a challenging Half Marathon (13.1M) and a popular 5K Run/Walk, this series is designed for runners of all abilities. The Half Marathon features a fast, rolling 13.1-mile loop around picturesque Eagle Lake, beginning and ending at Willmar Senior High School. While the 2026 course may see slight adjustments to its start, runners can expect ample support with water stations strategically placed near miles 3, 4, 5, 7, 8.5, 10, 11, and 13. The 5K welcomes all, being stroller-friendly and walker-friendly. Typical race day conditions in early August bring highs around 83F and lows around 61F, with a slight 12% chance of precipitation, offering pleasant running weather.

Beyond the race, participants can immerse themselves in a vibrant, family-friendly atmosphere. The event includes a free Kids Fun Run and a unique bean-bag tournament, making it a true celebration for everyone. Since its inception in 2017, the series has awarded over $77,000 in scholarships, making every stride a contribution to a worthy cause.
