2026 Juneteenth Freedom 5K

The 2026 Juneteenth Freedom 5K invites runners and walkers to Richmond, KY, on Saturday, June 20, 2026, for a meaningful and scenic race experience. Set against the beautiful backdrop of White Hall State Historic Site, this fourth annual event offers a 3.1-mile (5K) run/walk on a closed course of paved trails, alongside a 1-Mile Family Fun Walk for all ages and abilities. Beyond the physical challenge, the Juneteenth Freedom 5K holds deep historical significance, commemorating the emancipation of enslaved people in Texas on June 19, 1865. Your participation contributes to this enduring legacy, as race proceeds and donations directly benefit three vital local charities: The Maurice Hibbard Non-Traditional Scholarship, The Friends of Maple Grove Cemetery, and the New Liberty Family Shelter.
