2026 Nebraska Trail Run

Get ready for an unforgettable challenge at the 2026 Nebraska Trail Run, a premier 10K event set for April 11th in the scenic Platte River State Park in Louisville, NE. This race is renowned for its "rugged, single track trails" and "steep hills above the Platte River", a course so demanding that *Business Insider Magazine* once dubbed it the "8th Most Challenging Trail Run in the United States!". As you navigate the "well-marked" and "fast flowing singletrack" through the bluffs, you'll be treated to "amazing views of the Missouri River" and the chance to spot local wildlife.

This 19th edition promises the same "hills, thrills, challenges and excitement" that have made it a must-do for trail enthusiasts. Typical race day conditions in mid-April feature comfortable highs around 61°F and lows around 37°F, with only a 12% chance of precipitation, providing an ideal climate for hitting the dirt. Runners should come prepared for a self-supported experience regarding hydration, with water refills available at the start and turn-around points.

The event kicks off with packet pick-up and race day registration opening at 8:00 a.m. at ChokeCherry Cabins 1 and 2, followed by the 10K cannon start promptly at 10:00 a.m..
