2026 Ranger Ruck

Lace up for the 5th annual Ranger Ruck, an inspiring event taking place on Saturday, September 12, 2026, in scenic Stevens Point, WI. This unique 6.1-mile (10K) challenge offers participants the flexibility to run, walk, or embrace the namesake "ruck" with a 35-pound weighted pack. The picturesque out-and-back course begins at the UWSP Marshfield Clinic Champions Hall, guiding participants through the natural beauty of Schmeeckle Reserve, including two loops around its tranquil lake, before finishing near Coleman Track. Typical race day conditions in mid-September offer pleasant weather, with highs around 72°F and lows around 52°F, and only a 15% chance of precipitation, creating ideal conditions for your chosen endeavor.

The Ranger Ruck is more than just a race; it's a community event with a meaningful purpose. All funds raised support local Cadets in their team-building initiatives, including participation in prestigious events like the Army Ten Miler and the Bataan Death March. Participants can look forward to a vibrant vendor fair after crossing the finish line, where awards will be presented to the top three finishers in both the Ruck and Run/Walk categories. Each participant also receives an exclusive event t-shirt and a goody bag.
