25th Annual Chilly Chippewa

Lace up for a milestone event at the 25th Annual Chilly Chippewa, set to take place on Saturday, March 7, 2026, in scenic Chippewa Falls, WI. This long-standing tradition offers runners and walkers the chance to tackle a 3.1M (5K) course, with a complimentary 1-mile option also available, making it a perfect outing for both seasoned athletes and families. The race kicks off and concludes at Chi Hi, with the start/finish line located conveniently in the parking lot near Dorais Field, promising a community-focused atmosphere to begin and end your race day.

The Chilly Chippewa is more than just a race; it's a cherished community event designed to promote health, wellness, and local spirit, while also serving as a vital fundraiser for the CHI-HI Cross Country team. Participants can expect a scenic 5K experience that winds through the local area, offering a refreshing start to March. Typical race day conditions in Chippewa Falls often bring crisp air, with historical highs around 37F and lows around 17F, along with an approximate 8% chance of precipitation, providing a true "chilly" but invigorating racing environment.

As this marks the 25th anniversary, runners will be part of a special quarter-century celebration of running in Chippewa Falls. In-person registration opens at 8:30 AM at the HS Cardinal Doors, where participants can also purchase event shirts.
