25th Annual Leatherneck Run

Lace up your running shoes for the 25th Annual Leatherneck Run, a cherished community event taking place on Saturday, November 7, 2026, in Woodway, TX. This milestone race offers both a 5K and a 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk, inviting participants of all ages and fitness levels to hit the pavement. More than just a race, the Leatherneck Run proudly kicks off the Toys for Tots campaign, and runners will experience a unique pre-race atmosphere with the reading of the Marine Corps Birthday message and a celebratory cake cutting.

The race begins at the main entrance of the First Woodway Baptist Church, located at 101 Ritchie Road, and winds through the charming neighborhood streets surrounding the church, promising a scenic and invigorating course for all participants. Typical race day conditions in early November in Waco feature comfortable highs around 72°F and lows around 48°F, with only a 10% chance of precipitation, creating ideal running weather. Every runner will be rewarded with a finisher medal, and top competitors will vie for age group awards, including prizes for the 1st Overall Male and Female.
