Lace up for the 33rd Annual Brea 8K Classic, presented by Brea Mall, taking place on Sunday, February 22, 2026! This beloved Southern California event kicks off bright and early at 7:00 AM in Brea, CA, offering runners the choice of an 8K run/walk or a 1K fun run. What began with just 68 participants has blossomed into a vibrant community tradition, drawing thousands of runners, walkers, and supporters for a day of fitness and fun. Typical race day conditions in late February often feature pleasant weather, with highs around 72F and lows around 49F, and only an 8% chance of rain, though the race proceeds rain or shine.

The USATF-certified 8K course guides participants through scenic Brea neighborhoods, featuring a dynamic route with rolling hills and long straights. Runners can expect inclines during the first half, followed by a mostly downhill second half, covering a total elevation gain of approximately 250 feet. Community spirit shines brightly along the route, with live music and cheering crowds providing an "unforgettable energy" to propel you forward. Three well-placed water stations are available around miles 2, 3, and 4, ensuring hydration throughout your journey. The race starts on E. Birch Street, just east of Embassy Suites, and culminates in a celebrated finish at the Brea Mall parking area near the Olive Garden Restaurant.
