5K Love Run

Lace up your running shoes for the 5K Love Run, a heartfelt event benefiting the Child Advocacy Center of Anderson County, taking place on Saturday, February 28, 2026, in the scenic community of Norris, Tennessee. This cherished race, now in its sixth year, offers both a challenging 3.1-mile (5K) course and a fun 1-mile option, inviting runners of all ages and abilities to participate. The 5K course is USATF certified (TN24038MS), starting and finishing in front of Norris Middle School. While the first mile can experience some congestion, runners will appreciate the beautiful surroundings of Norris, TN.

Participants can anticipate three aid and water stations strategically placed along the 5K route to keep them hydrated and energized. Typical race day conditions in late February can see highs around 49°F and lows near 28°F, with a 23% chance of precipitation, so runners should be prepared for anything from sunshine to rain or even snow. Each step taken in the 5K Love Run directly supports children in need, giving a voice to those who don't have one.

Beyond the race itself, every pre-registered runner is guaranteed a commemorative event T-shirt, and after crossing the finish line, all participants are welcomed with an abundance of hot chocolate, a perfect treat for both the young and young at heart. A virtual run-anywhere option is also available from February 14 to March 1, 2026, complete with the RaceJoy application for live phone tracking and cheers. Strollers are welcome, though participants are asked to start near the back due to potential congestion in the initial mile.
