6th Annual Stride for Pride

Lace up your running shoes and join the vibrant community of Scranton, PA, for the 6th Annual Stride for Pride 5K on Sunday, June 7, 2026. This inspiring 3.1-mile event offers runners and walkers a chance to celebrate inclusivity and community while enjoying a picturesque course. The race kicks off at 9:00 AM along the beautiful Lackawanna River Heritage Trail on Olive Street, providing a scenic backdrop for your run or walk. The course is generally flat and fast, running along a paved or crushed limestone mixed-use trail beside the river.

More than just a race, the Stride for Pride is a family-friendly event dedicated to supporting Queer NEPA, an organization committed to fostering LGBTQIA+ culture and justice in the region. Children under 10 can even participate for free with a registered adult, making it a perfect outing for all ages. For those unable to attend in person, a virtual 5K option allows you to join the celebration from anywhere by completing your race on Friday or Saturday and submitting your results.
