7th Annual Run To Belong 5K benefiting Camp to Belong Maine

Lace up for a cause at the 7th Annual Run To Belong 5K, taking place on Saturday, May 2, 2026, in Augusta, Maine. This inspiring event offers participants the chance to run or walk a 5K (3.1 miles) or enjoy a shorter 1-Mile Fun Run, all while supporting Camp to Belong Maine, an organization dedicated to reuniting siblings separated by foster care, adoption, or other out-of-home placements.

The race kicks off from the Kennebec Valley YMCA, with the 5K route following the scenic and paved Rail Trail. This out-and-back course provides a beautiful backdrop for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities, and is welcoming to strollers, bikes, scooters, wheelchairs, and even leashed dogs. The 1-Mile Fun Run begins at 8:30 AM, followed by the 5K at 9:00 AM. Typical race day conditions in early May feature pleasant temperatures, with highs around 62°F and lows around 41°F, and only a 15% chance of precipitation, creating ideal running weather.
