8th Annual Red, White & Blue 5K Run/Walk

Kick off your Independence Day celebrations early at the 8th Annual Red, White & Blue 5K Run/Walk on Friday, July 3, 2026, in scenic North Myrtle Beach, SC. This festive event, hosted at Barefoot Landing, invites runners and walkers of all ages and abilities to embrace the patriotic spirit. Choose your challenge from the timed 3.1-mile 5K, the untimed Uncle Sam's 1 Mile Walk, or let the little ones dash in the free Stars and Stripes Kids' Dash (50 yards). The event encourages participants to deck themselves out in their most spirited red, white, and blue attire or costumes, contributing to a vibrant and friendly atmosphere, all while supporting the Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach.

The course, weaving through Barefoot Landing, offers an easy and enjoyable run suitable for every participant. Runners can anticipate generally flat terrain as they take in the sights of this popular North Myrtle Beach destination. Race day typically sees high temperatures around 88F and lows around 73F, with a 16% chance of precipitation, so plan accordingly. It's important to note that there are no water stops provided on the course for either the 5K or the 1-mile walk, so personal hydration is essential. All registered participants for the 5K will receive a commemorative race t-shirt and a finisher medal to celebrate their accomplishment.
