The Across Florida 200 offers a true point-to-point adventure, ensuring you never step foot on the same trail twice. Starting at the west end of the Withlacoochee Bay Trail, the course intricately weaves through 110 miles of the renowned Florida Trail, along with 10 miles of state park trails, 40 miles of dirt roads, 20 miles of scenic Rails-to-Trails, and 20 miles of country roads. Highlights include a 50-mile stretch through the beautiful Cross Florida Greenway and 60 miles of the Florida Trail's most scenic rolling hills within the Ocala National Forest. The final 20 miles along the new Rails-to-Trails route into St. Augustine are often considered the race's toughest section, preceding a final 10-mile push to the finish at the St. Johns County Ocean & Fishing Pier. While elevation changes are generally mild for an ultra, with a high point of 285 feet, the diverse terrain and sheer distance provide a formidable test of endurance.
Participants in this remarkable event benefit from 14 fully stocked aid stations, offering a variety of runner-friendly foods and hydration options, with some even providing hot meals. Every runner is equipped with a GPS tracker, and registered participants receive GPX files and detailed maps to assist crews along the way. Beyond the unparalleled challenge of running across Florida, finishers are rewarded with the "largest-ever finisher buckle" and custom-designed awards. For the swiftest, a $1,000 grand prize awaits the fastest male and female runners, with an additional $1,000 for breaking the course record.
