Lace up for an inspiring journey at the AIMHigh-Keep Pressing 5K/10K/13.1M, a vibrant community race returning to Henderson, NC, on Saturday, May 2, 2026. This beloved event, celebrating its sixth year, is designed to motivate participants to "StayTrue" on their fitness path and proudly introduces its inaugural 13.1-mile Half Marathon distance, alongside the popular 5K and 10K options. Runners will experience three exciting new courses crafted to showcase the beautiful scenery of Vance County, starting and finishing in historic Downtown Henderson at 200 Breckenridge Street. Typical race day conditions in early May boast pleasant highs around 77°F and lows around 54°F, with only a 13% chance of precipitation, providing an ideal environment for personal bests.

The courses offer a dynamic experience for all levels. The 5K features a loop with a hospitality station near Old AIMHigh on N. Garnett Street. The 10K extends further along N. Garnett Street and Satterwhite Point Road, with a hospitality station at Back to Eden. Half marathoners will embark on a scenic route that includes Satterwhite Point Road, Hedrick Drive, and Kerr Lake Club Road, offering a hospitality station at the Kerr Lake Country Club. Aid stations with water will be available to support runners throughout their journey.

More than just a race, the AIMHigh-Keep Pressing event operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to health and wellness, fostering a strong sense of community. A unique highlight is the "Keep Pressing Award," a $1500 prize presented to the team with the most registered participants, with funds benefiting local nonprofit initiatives. Every participant receives a race bib, a stylish race t-shirt, a finisher's medal, and a swag bag, making it a rewarding experience whether you run solo or with a team. Join a growing community that champions fitness, camaraderie, and making a tangible difference in Vance County.
