Angry Unicorn Half Marathon

Prepare to unleash your inner unicorn at the Angry Unicorn Half Marathon and 5K, set to stampede through the scenic roads of South Kingstown, Rhode Island, on November 8, 2026. This popular event, organized by Ocean State Multisport, offers runners a unique blend of challenging yet achievable distances – a certified 13.1-mile half marathon and a speedy 5K – all on remarkably flat and fast courses renowned for personal best potential.

Both races begin and end at Matunuck Elementary School, guiding participants on an picturesque journey past charming farms and beautiful beach houses. Half marathoners will enjoy the course's turnaround point at Charlestown Beach, where clear conditions can offer stunning glimpses of Block Island. With limited traffic due to the time of year and ample shade along the route, runners can focus on their stride. Aid is readily available with seven water stations and three Gatorade stops for the half marathon, and one to two water stops for 5K participants, complemented by porta-potties at the start and on the half marathon course.

Typical race day conditions in early November boast highs around 55°F and lows near 34°F, with only a 16% chance of precipitation, creating ideal running weather.
