Prepare for an unforgettable challenge at the Another Dam 50k & 25k, set against the picturesque backdrop of Englewood MetroPark in Englewood, OH, on August 16, 2026. This popular event offers both 50K and 25K distances, making it an excellent opportunity for seasoned ultrarunners to chase a personal record or for first-timers to experience the thrill of a longer-distance race. Typical race day conditions in mid-August feature highs around 85°F and lows around 65°F, with a modest 12% chance of precipitation, providing a warm but potentially fast environment.

The course unfolds over a scenic 7.77-mile loop, traversed four times for the 50K and twice for the 25K. Runners will navigate a diverse terrain comprised of approximately 75% dirt trail, 13% gravel/dirt roads, and 12% paved bike paths and park roads, offering a varied and engaging experience. With around 459-471 feet of ascent per loop, the route is described as approachable, featuring manageable hills and providing stunning views, including three beautiful waterfalls per circuit. While largely runnable, sections, particularly in the northern part of the loop, introduce more technical elements with roots and rocks, adding to the adventure. The start and finish, along with packet pickup, are conveniently located at the Lawwill Shelter within Englewood MetroPark.

The Another Dam 50k & 25k is renowned for its exceptional support, powered by "The Best Dam Volunteers In The Land" from the Ohio River Road Runner's Club. Aid stations are strategically placed, ensuring runners are never more than 3.0 miles from support. The Lawwill Shelter serves as a primary aid station, while the "Patty Shelter" is celebrated as a "rockin' party" aid station, visited twice per loop. These well-stocked stations offer water, electrolytes, chips, pretzels, pickles/pickle juice, PB&J, fruit, and sweets to keep you energized. Participants can also utilize drop bags at the start/finish area or self-drop at the Patty Shelter. Completing this memorable event earns finishers the respect of the running community and the satisfaction of conquering "Another Dam" challenging course.
