Get ready to embrace the Arizona summer with the Arizona Sunrise Series - Riparian Preserve, a refreshing 5K challenge taking place on Saturday, August 8, 2026, in Gilbert, AZ. This event is the concluding leg of the popular Arizona Sunrise Series, offering runners a vibrant early morning experience amidst the picturesque Riparian Preserve at Water Ranch. Known for its dedication to keeping runners active through the warmer months, the series ensures an invigorating start before the desert heat fully sets in.

The course at Riparian Preserve features dedicated running trails with a mix of crushed gravel, asphalt, and concrete surfaces, providing a varied yet accessible terrain. Runners will navigate this scenic 110-acre wetland and wildlife sanctuary, enjoying views of its seven ponds and natural beauty. While the course does include some gentle hills, it is largely considered a road-type course. Typical race day conditions in early August bring highs around 105F and lows around 77F, with only a 5% chance of precipitation, making the early 6:30 AM mass start (with an open start line option from 5:45 AM) essential for a comfortable race experience.

More than just a race, this 13th Annual event celebrates community and perseverance. Participants will receive a custom series medal and a choice of a Dri-Fit tech shirt, racerback tank, or sleeveless shirt, along with chip timing and real-time results.
