The Asbury Park Half Marathon, part of the vibrant RunAPalooza festival, offers runners a unique seaside racing experience on April 11, 2026. Kicking off from Ocean Avenue in Asbury Park, this USATF Certified Course is known for its predominantly flat and fully paved terrain, making it ideal for those chasing personal bests. Runners in the half marathon will journey through a scenic tour of iconic Jersey Shore towns, including Interlaken, Allenhurst, Deal, Ocean Grove, Bradley Beach, and Avon-by-the-Sea, enjoying continuous ocean views and glimpses of magnificent mansions along the way.
Beyond the picturesque scenery, the race boasts a lively atmosphere with live music and enthusiastic spectators lining the promenade, transforming race day into a true spring Shore celebration. Participants in the Half Marathon, the accompanying 5K, and the Jersey Shore Relay Marathon will find ample aid stations throughout the course to support their efforts. The 5K distance culminates with a memorable finish on the historic Asbury Park Boardwalk. With typical race day conditions seeing highs around 62F and lows around 40F, coupled with a mere 15% chance of precipitation, runners can anticipate comfortable and enjoyable weather for their race.
Organized by the Jersey Shore Running Club, this event has a strong reputation, having previously served as an RRCA Eastern Region Championship Race, and consistently receives high praise for its excellent race production, flat course, and quality finisher medals and shirts. The RunAPalooza festival also proudly supports the Jersey Shore Dream Center and other local charitable organizations.
