Awesome 80s Summer Solstice Beach Run presented by Moe Moon's

Lace up your high-tops and pull on your brightest neon for the Awesome 80s Summer Solstice Beach Run presented by Moe Moon's, hitting the sands of Myrtle Beach, SC, on June 21, 2026! This unique 1-mile beach run/walk offers a vibrant celebration of summer and the longest day of sunlight, starting at 7:00 PM EDT as the sun begins to set.

The course provides a refreshing experience, beginning and ending on the soft sands adjacent to Plyler Park. Participants will head north for approximately a half-mile before returning to the finish line, enjoying picturesque ocean views throughout this un-timed event. While awards aren't given for speed, a timing clock will be posted at the finish, and all participants rocking their best 80s attire will be entered into a costume raffle. Typical race day conditions in late June bring highs around 87°F and lows around 72°F, with a minimal 16% chance of precipitation, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere for a sunset stroll or sprint.

What truly sets this event apart is its festive, family-friendly vibe. Post-race, join fellow participants at Plyler Park for music, fun, and a complimentary picnic featuring a hotdog, chips, and a soda or water, courtesy of Moe Moon's.
