AZ Walk of Courage 10K - 5K - 1M

Lace up for an inspiring journey at the AZ Walk of Courage, set for Sunday, March 22, 2026, in Peoria, AZ. This uplifting event, featuring 10K and 5K run/walk options, alongside a fun 1-Mile course, invites participants of all ages and abilities to make a meaningful stride. Held at Rio Vista Park, with its start and finish lines conveniently located, you can expect typical race day conditions to be pleasant, with highs around 81°F and lows around 53°F, and a minimal 3% chance of precipitation, creating ideal weather for a memorable race experience.

The AZ Walk of Courage offers a "Fast and Flat" course that winds along the dedicated asphalt and concrete running trails of Rio Vista Park and the New River Trail System. While the scenic trails remain open to the public, the clear pathways provide an accessible and enjoyable route for everyone. This event prides itself on its inclusive atmosphere, welcoming wheelchairs, strollers, and even leashed pets, ensuring that all community members can participate in this impactful day.

Beyond the personal challenge, every step taken at the AZ Walk of Courage directly supports burn survivors, advocating for awareness and fostering a community of inclusion, love, and healing. Proceeds benefit "Changed by Fire" and other local organizations dedicated to assisting burn survivors and their families. Finishers will be rewarded with a custom event medal and a custom Dri-Fit Tech T-shirt, with age group awards for the top three in the 10K and 5K categories. Participants can also look forward to chip-timed results and a post-race "Athlete's Brunch" featuring granola bars, fruit, and water.
