Bastille Day Race

Lace up for the Bastille Day Race on Saturday, July 11, 2026, in the charming heart of Downtown Fenton, Michigan, where a festive atmosphere meets challenging courses. This iconic summer event offers a 15K, a 10K, and a 5K, attracting hundreds of runners each year. You can expect typical race day conditions in early July to be warm, with highs around 83°F and lows around 60°F, and a modest 12% chance of precipitation.

The Bastille Day Race is renowned for its diverse and engaging courses, all run on 100% paved roads. The 15K is a USATF-certified course known for being very challenging and hilly, taking participants south from the Crust Bakery start, looping around Runyan Lake, and concluding with the infamous Denton Hill in the final two miles before the finish line at the Fenton Police Station. The newly added 10K for 2026, along with the scenic 5K, offers a fun journey through Fenton's beautiful old neighborhoods, starting near the Fenton Police Station and sharing the finish line excitement. Aid stations with water are provided along the course to support runners.

What truly sets the Bastille Day Race apart is its vibrant French-themed celebration and its commitment to community. Runners receive a custom Dri-Fit race shirt, a finisher medal, and free professional race photos. The post-race festivities are a highlight, featuring live music and French-themed refreshments including fresh French bread, fruit, and refreshing keg root beer.
