Aid stations are strategically placed approximately every 1.5 miles along the course, well-stocked with water, Skratch sports drink, and, for Half Marathon participants, GU gels and blocks. All courses are clearly marked with signs and mileage indicators.

Beyond the run, the Beer City Half™ SLAM is renowned for its unique, festive atmosphere and rewarding finish line experience. Every finisher receives a custom Beer City SLAM shirt, a special "Key to Beer City" medal that cleverly doubles as a bottle opener, and a reusable Beer City tasting glass made from recycled plastic. Post-race, runners aged 21 and over are treated to unlimited beer tasting from local brewers until noon, with non-alcoholic options and snacks also available.
