Big Easy Halloween Half Marathon, 10K & 5K

Get ready for a spooktacular race experience at the Big Easy Halloween Half Marathon, 10K & 5K, set to haunt the scenic New Orleans Lakefront on Sunday, October 25, 2026. This popular event, celebrating its 11th edition, offers distances for every runner, including a Half Marathon (13.1M), 10K (6.2M), 5K (3.1M), and a 1M Kid's Fun Run.

Runners will enjoy a completely closed, picturesque course along the stunning New Orleans Lakefront, offering great views of the water for much of the race. While generally flat, some portions of the course may feature slight undulations. Typical race day conditions in late October in New Orleans bring highs around 79°F and lows around 60°F, with a low 9% chance of precipitation, though runners should be prepared for potential heat and humidity. Aid stations are strategically placed approximately every mile, providing water and Gatorade, with some also offering bananas and even festive additions like beer and Fireball shots at the final stop.

The Big Easy Halloween Half Marathon is renowned for its festive atmosphere, making it a "full-blown celebration" for the entire family. The start and finish line, along with the lively post-race party, are hosted at The Blue Crab Restaurant and Oyster Bar at 7900 Lakeshore Drive, just 6.2 miles from the iconic French Quarter.
