Bingo Challenge Races

Lace up your shoes for an unforgettable challenge at the Bingo Challenge Races, set to take place on Saturday, August 15th, 2026, in scenic Lake Elmo, MN. This isn't your average race; it's a unique backyard-style event that blends the thrill of trail running with the fun of a bingo game. Runners can choose between two exciting distances, the 11.4M or the 15.2M, with the ultimate mileage depending on how quickly you achieve "Bingo" on your personalized card. The event kicks off at the Sunfish Lake Parking Lot, adjacent to the Sally Manzara Interpretive Nature Center, which also serves as the vibrant start and finish line.

The course itself offers a dynamic experience, featuring picturesque 2.6+ mile loops around Sunfish Lake. Expect to navigate scenic single-track trails that are primarily hiking-style, complete with loose soil, mud, dirt, and varied hills, making for an engaging and challenging run. While the trails are marked, runners should be aware that they are open to the public. Each 2.6+ mile lap must be completed in 28 minutes or less to earn a bingo ball, which could bring you closer to finishing your chosen card and claiming victory. Typical race day conditions in mid-August often see highs around 80F and lows around 61F, with a 16% chance of precipitation, so runners should be prepared for warm weather.

For runner support, aid stations offering water and light snacks will be available at the Start/Finish line, though participants are encouraged to bring their own water bottles to utilize the water refill station. Finishers can look forward to a lively post-race celebration complete with music and additional snacks, creating a festive atmosphere for all who complete this one-of-a-kind challenge.
