Blue Devil 5K

Lace up your shoes for the Blue Devil 5K, a cherished Kansas City Kansas Community College tradition taking place on Saturday, May 2, 2026. This family-friendly 3.1-mile event welcomes runners, joggers, and walkers of all paces to experience the scenic campus of KCKCC. The course winds through the college's beautiful grounds, utilizing a mix of roads, walking paths, and sidewalks, offering an accessible and enjoyable route for every participant. Typical race day conditions in early May feature comfortable highs around 71°F and lows near 51°F, with only a 16% chance of precipitation, creating ideal weather for a memorable run.

The Blue Devil 5K is renowned for its festive atmosphere and rewarding experience. All 5K finishers will proudly receive a finisher's medal to commemorate their accomplishment. Adding to the unique appeal, the race culminates with a complimentary all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast catered by Chris Cakes, providing a fantastic post-race celebration to refuel and connect with fellow participants.

The race officially begins at 8:00 AM from the parking lot of the Health Professions Building, located at 7250 State Avenue. Ample event parking is available in Lot I, off Delaware Street.
