Embark on an unforgettable trail adventure at the Bootlegger, set to challenge runners on March 28, 2026, in scenic Flovilla, GA. Offering both a demanding 100-mile and a formidable 50-mile distance, this event, presented by Revolution Running, is celebrated for its beautiful, gently rolling single-track trails designed to appeal to both first-time ultra-runners and those chasing a personal record. The course unfolds as a 12.5-mile loop, featuring approximately 900 feet of elevation gain per lap, totaling around 7000 feet for the 100M and 3600 feet for the 50M. Runners will experience a diverse terrain composed mostly of spectacular single track, interspersed with about 1.5 miles of paved roads and 1 mile of gravel per loop. Typical race day conditions in late March bring comfortable highs around 74°F and lows near 40°F, with a modest 12% chance of precipitation.
The Bootlegger promises exceptional support throughout your journey. Two well-stocked aid stations are strategically placed at miles 6 and 12.5 (the start/finish line) within each loop, providing easy access for crews. These stations are equipped with standard snacks and drinks, and as evening approaches, runners can look forward to hot food options such as soup, hotdogs, and grilled cheese, with food requests also accommodated. The start/finish area, located at 678 Lake Clark Rd, is a runner-friendly hub where participants are welcome to set up personal tents and tables in a spacious sheltered area.
Beyond the race itself, the Bootlegger is a unique event that gives back, benefiting the Dauset Trails Nature Center and Indian Springs State Park. Revolution Running is renowned for its high-quality swag, ensuring all participants receive an awesome shirt and backpack, with 100-mile finishers earning a coveted buckle and all finishers receiving a super awesome medal. Additionally, the race is actively pursuing Western States qualifying status and offers exciting opportunities for Western States entries through raffles, adding an extra layer of incentive for those with big ultra aspirations.
