Brighton July 4th 5K

Lace up your running shoes and kick off your Independence Day celebrations at the Brighton July 4th 5K on Saturday, July 4, 2026, in Rochester, NY! This annual tradition promises a "flat and fast" 3.1-mile course, ideal for runners aiming for a personal best or simply looking to enjoy a spirited morning run. The race starts on Winton Road in front of Brighton High School and concludes in the Brighton High School parking lot, making for a convenient start and finish experience with ample parking available on site.

As a cherished part of the Town of Brighton's July 4th festivities, this 5K offers a vibrant atmosphere to begin your holiday. Runners will navigate a course designed for speed, though it's important to note that participants are typically required to carry their own hydration, as on-course water stops have not been provided in previous years. Typical race day conditions in Rochester for early July feature comfortable lows around 62°F and highs around 82°F, with a relatively low 14% chance of precipitation, creating pleasant running weather.

Included with your registration are a custom race bib, a printable finisher certificate, online results, and post-race food and drink. Participants registered by June 14, 2026, are also guaranteed a premium blend cotton t-shirt to commemorate their achievement. Packet pickup is conveniently available the day before the race at Fleet Feet @ The Armory, with limited race day pickup also offered at Brighton High School.
