Cape May Point 5 Mile and 2 Mile

Prepare to experience the historic charm and scenic beauty of New Jersey's southernmost tip at the Cape May Point 5 Mile and 2 Mile on Saturday, June 20, 2026. This long-standing annual event, now in its 45th year, invites runners of all abilities to gather in picturesque Cape May Point for a memorable race day. Participants can choose from a 2 Mile Run, a 5 Mile Run, or take on the challenge of a combined 2 Mile and 5 Mile event.

The road race courses are renowned for their scenic views, offering a refreshing coastal backdrop as you traverse the flat terrain of Cape May Point. With typical race day conditions in late June featuring highs around 82°F and lows near 65°F, coupled with a 15% chance of precipitation, runners can anticipate pleasant summer weather ideal for a seaside run. Registration and race day activities, including the start and finish lines, are conveniently located at the Cape May Point Fire House on Yale Avenue.

Beyond the invigorating run, every registered participant receives a complimentary event t-shirt. The Cape May Point 5 Mile and 2 Mile celebrates a wide range of achievements with awards for the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as specific accolades for the first Lifeguard, Coast Guard, and First Responder (Fire or Police). Age group awards span categories from 14 and under to 70 and above, including Masters 50-59 and Golden Masters 60+, ensuring a competitive and inclusive atmosphere for all.
