This iconic event, which proudly returned to its downtown roots in 2022, offers a flat and fast course, perfect for chasing a personal best or simply enjoying the vibrant urban scenery. Participants can anticipate typical race day conditions with highs around a comfortable 69F and lows near 46F, with only a 19% chance of precipitation, providing ideal running weather.

The Capital City Classic 10K boasts a rich heritage, having once been the largest road race in Arkansas and attracting thousands of runners, including past Olympians and national record holders. Beyond the competitive 10K, the event fosters a lively, inclusive atmosphere with a free Kids' Mile race, encouraging the whole family to participate. Competitive runners will appreciate the generous $7,000 prize purse distributed among the top five male and female finishers, alongside a dedicated pace team offering support for various time goals, from a swift 45 minutes to a leisurely "Party Pace" of two hours.

The start and finish lines are conveniently located in downtown Little Rock at W 2nd St. and Broadway St., with packet pickup available the day before the race at Rock City Running, and also on race morning.
