Catch the Leprechaun 5K

This popular 3.1-mile event offers a USATF-certified course, known for being flat and fast on pavement, making it ideal for runners aiming for a personal best or those simply looking to enjoy a vibrant morning run. Participants will kick off their race at 9:00 AM sharp on Academy Street below AETNA, returning to the lively atmosphere of Klondike Kate's, located at 158 East Main Street, for an unforgettable post-race celebration. Typical race day conditions in mid-March often see comfortable highs around 52°F and lows around 33°F, with a low chance of precipitation, providing excellent running weather.

What truly sets the Catch the Leprechaun 5K apart is its spirited St. Patrick's Day theme and the engaging Leprechaun Challenge. Runners are encouraged to don their finest green attire and embrace the festive spirit. For an added thrill, a "Fusion Leprechaun" gets a 6:30-minute head start on the course, and any runner quick enough to beat this mischievous character to the finish line will win a special prize!
