Prepare for a summer challenge on July 11, 2026, with the inaugural Coal & Coke Fireworks 30/10 Miler in Mount Pleasant, PA. This event, organized by BALS (Be Active. Live Spontaneous.) Racing, offers runners the choice of a 30-mile ultra or a 10-mile race on the scenic Coal & Coke Trail system. The course is designed for speed and personal bests, featuring a wide-open, non-technical double track that is 100% flat and fast, comprised of crushed gravel and pavement. Runners will experience a beautiful 5-mile out-and-back loop, totaling 10 miles per circuit, with a minimal elevation change of approximately 145 feet per loop. Typical race day conditions in mid-July include highs around 84°F and lows around 62°F, with an 18% chance of precipitation, providing a warm but potentially fast environment.

BALS Racing prioritizes runner well-being and community impact, setting up two well-stocked aid stations along the course: one at the start/finish line and another at the 5-mile turnaround. Both stations will offer water and Just Ingredients electrolyte mix, alongside organic fruits, chips, candy, and cookies. The main start/finish aid station goes above and beyond with hot organic food options, including protein pancakes, grilled cheese, and cheese quesadillas, emphasizing their "Food is Fuel" philosophy. Ample space is available near the start/finish area for crews to set up support stations beginning at 5:30 AM on race morning.
