Get ready to light up the trails at the inaugural Coal & Coke Fireworks 30/10 Miler on July 11, 2026, in scenic Mt Pleasant, PA. Organized by BALS (Be Active. Live Spontaneous.) Racing, this event promises a fast and fun experience across two distances: a challenging 30-miler and an accessible 10-miler.

The course utilizes the beautiful Coal & Coke Trail system, featuring a 5-mile out-and-back loop that runners will complete multiple times for their chosen distance. Expect a non-technical, wide-open double track made entirely of crushed gravel and pavement, making it a prime opportunity to chase a personal record. With approximately 145 feet of gain and loss per 10-mile loop, the course is designed for speed while still offering picturesque scenery. Typical race day conditions in July include highs around 84°F and lows around 62°F, with an 18% chance of precipitation, providing classic summer running weather.

BALS Racing prioritizes runner support with two well-stocked aid stations. One is conveniently located at the start/finish line, and another at the 5-mile turnaround. Runners can refuel with organic snacks, water, and an electrolyte mix at both, while the start/finish aid station goes above and beyond with hot organic food options like protein pancakes, grilled cheese, and cheese quesadillas. Ample space is available near the start/finish and along the trail for crews to set up and support their athletes. All finishers will be celebrated with an etched pint glass and a unique handmade medal, while top male and female finishers in the 30-miler will receive custom handmade awards.
