Get ready for an unforgettable experience at the Colorado 13er, returning to Louisville, CO, on Sunday, June 7, 2026. This popular event masterfully blends the best aspects of trail and road running, offering a well-supported and "kind-to-your-body" course that has garnered appreciation from both seasoned athletes and first-time participants. Choose your challenge from a Half Marathon (13.1M), 10K, or 5K, each designed to showcase the stunning landscapes of Louisville and the iconic Flatirons.
The Half Marathon features a scenic double-loop course that includes approximately nine miles of crushed gravel trails along the Davidson Mesa and Harper Lake Loop, complemented by about four miles of asphalt and concrete. Runners will enjoy relatively flat sections through the mesa, with an initial uphill mile to warm up, and breathtaking views of the Front Range as you head towards Harper Lake. The 10K and 5K courses also incorporate a mix of asphalt, concrete, and crushed gravel paths. Expect ample support along the way; the Half Marathon boasts ten aid station passes with water and electrolyte drinks, plus energy gels at miles 5 and 10.5. Additionally, five convenient port-a-john locations are available for half marathoners on the course, while 10K runners will find one near their turnaround.
The race starts and finishes at Home Depot (1200 Dillon Road) in Louisville, providing a central hub for all activities, including packet pickup and an expo. Known for its excellent communication and runner-friendly atmosphere, the Colorado 13er ensures a memorable day. Typical race day conditions in early June offer pleasant temperatures, with highs around 81F and lows around 50F, and a low 8% chance of precipitation. All finishers can celebrate their accomplishment with a coveted medal for the 13.1M distance and a gender-specific performance tee, with iced towels awaiting at the finish line to help you cool down. This event also proudly partners with Community Food Share, a local charity, allowing runners to contribute to the community while pursuing their personal goals.
