Recent redesigns have smoothed out some of the toughest climbs and added sections of jeep road, promising a challenging yet enjoyable run through varied terrain that keeps you engaged. While still requiring attention to footwork on occasionally rocky paths, the course balances technical sections with more runnable stretches, making it appealing to a wide range of trail enthusiasts. Expect typical race day conditions to be warm, with highs around 85F and lows around 65F, along with a 19% chance of precipitation, providing a true summer trail experience.

The race begins at 9:00 AM from the French Creek State Park Pool Area (843 Park Rd, Elverson, PA), with registration opening at 7:45 AM. Aid stations are strategically placed approximately every three miles per loop, stocked with water, electrolyte drinks, and some munchies to keep you fueled. Post-race, enjoy modern amenities, ample parking, and a welcoming finish area that has historically included hot and cold food like hot dogs and veggie burgers, along with a hose or "hand-made shower" for a refreshing cool-down.
