Set for Sunday, September 6, 2026, at South Side Lions East Park, this event redefines the traditional race, offering distances of a Half Marathon (13.1M), 10K (6.2M), 5K (3.1M), and a 1M dash. You choose your challenge on race day and can start within a flexible window from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM CDT, ensuring a stress-free and inclusive atmosphere for runners of all paces and goals. Typical race day conditions in early September include highs around 95F and lows near 74F, with a low 8% chance of precipitation, so early starts are encouraged to beat the heat.

The E-Dragon Run Festival takes runners along the scenic Salado Creek, a beautiful path lauded for its ample shade and picturesque landscape. The course primarily features asphalt terrain, which is often favored by runners for being gentler on the legs. The routes are designed as out-and-back segments that culminate with a loop around South Side Lions East Lake. Half marathon participants will complete two loops of a 6.55-mile course, while 10K runners will have an earlier turnaround. Unmanned aid stations, equipped with coolers of small water bottles, will be available approximately every 1.2 to 1.7 miles along the course to support your run.

This festival is renowned for its low cost and community-focused approach, capping participation at 1,000 to maintain a personalized feel.
