Eighth Street Tradition Trot 5K

Lace up for the annual Eighth Street Tradition Trot 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run, set to take place on Saturday, February 28, 2026, in scenic Ocala, Florida. This vibrant community event offers participants the chance to run or walk through the picturesque streets of Historic Downtown Ocala, starting and finishing at the iconic Ocala Citizens' Circle. The course promises a flat and fast route, providing an enjoyable journey through the charming city streets. Typical race day conditions in late February offer comfortable running weather, with highs around 77F and lows around 50F, alongside a low 9% chance of precipitation.

Beyond the enjoyment of a great run, the Eighth Street Tradition Trot holds a special mission: all proceeds directly support Eighth Street Elementary School's PTO goals, enriching academic experiences and enhancing extracurricular activities for students.
