Elk River Bigfoot Half Marathon/10K/5K

Prepare to embark on an unforgettable journey at the Elk River Bigfoot Half Marathon/10K/5K, set for Sunday, May 31, 2026, in the charming town of Clay, West Virginia. This unique event, a highlight of the West Virginia Cryptid Race Series, is the sole race of its kind in the region, offering a distinctive experience for runners of all levels. Participants will traverse the scenic Elk River Trail, a course celebrated for being remarkably flat and fast, making it an ideal setting for achieving a new personal best.

Runners can choose their challenge from a Half Marathon (13.1 miles), a 10K run/walk, or a 5K run/walk, with race day packet pickup conveniently starting at 6:30 AM. The Half Marathon and 10K events kick off at 8:00 AM EDT, followed by the 5K at 8:15 AM EDT.
