This beloved community gathering offers both a timed 5K race and a supportive 1-mile untimed walk, making it accessible for runners and walkers of all abilities. Held at the iconic Balloon Fiesta Park, participants can anticipate typical race day conditions with comfortable highs around 71°F and lows around 43°F, accompanied by a minimal 2% chance of precipitation, providing an ideal spring morning for your efforts.

More than just a race, this event is a vibrant celebration of Autism Acceptance Month and serves as the New Mexico Autism Society's largest annual fundraiser, directly supporting vital programs and events. The race uniquely honors the legacy of Ellen Reavis, a dedicated occupational therapist and passionate advocate for the autism community in New Mexico. A highlight of the day is the heartfelt Star Walk, where autistic individuals are cheered on by the crowd, recognizing their unique journey.
